Our Vision and Mission
Jnana Prabodhini, Pune is a unique educational organization inspired by the ideas of Swami Vivekananda. Its branch was opened in Solapur in 1989 having separate legal registration as Jnana Prabodhini – Solapur. It was founded with the aim of providing education that fosters personal and national development. The core focus of Jnana Prabodhini is to instill self-esteem in individuals, especially those marginalized, and to address the crucial issues of the nation.
Jnana Prabodhini's mission is to empower the youth with inspiration and knowledge, enabling them to make a positive impact on themselves and the nation, while upholding the principles of Swami Vivekananda.
Jnana Prabodhini - Solapur was inaugurated in January 1989. The initial Balvikas Mandir i. e. Pre-primary and Primary school, initiated by the visionary couple Sou. Avantikabai and Shri. Janubhau Kelkar took by Jnana Prabodhini. Afterward Secondary school and Montessori Teachers Training Course was started. Due to this course, a well-trained Montessori Teachers are now contributing to various schools in Maharashtra.
Solapur city has witnessed the active participation of Jnana
Prabodhini in initiatives like the Literacy Campaign, Child
Labor Rehabilitation, and sugarcane cutters Children's
Education programs. The Solapur branch has made significant
contributions in these government initiatives.

Formal Education
From LKG to 10th grade students, the effort is to enhance academic quality, instill values and behaviors, foster social awareness, and build responsible and patriotic citizens within the formal school system.
Supplementary Education
There are projects by Prabodhini aimed at enhancing the academic quality and personal development of students outside the school. These initiatives include the Ankur Project for first to fourth-grade nomadic children, the Prajna and Kishori Vikas for underprivileged students, and computer training for young boys and girls.
Youth Wing
Youth Wing arranges various programs to organize and unite youth, to develop leadership among the youth and create a sense of commitment towards solving the problems of the country.
Women's Power & Health
Through activities like yoga classes and Sanvadini, women are encouraged to build self-esteem and self-confidence, as well as participate in social national initiatives.
National Integration
It is crucial endearing Manipuri communities with love and providing various facilities to them as an essential step towards national unity. For this purpose, we have initiated a hostel in Solapur for the children from Manipur and educational, social and relief work at Manipur.
Social Entrepreneurship Training
Various projects are aimed at providing alternative livelihood training for Bidi rolling women such as running self-help groups, bag making and other skills of entrepreneurship.
Culture and Spirituality
The cultural and spiritual activities’ wing conducts cultural rituals and ceremonies to promote meaningful cultural traditions. Satsang centers provide spiritual guidance through discourses, meditation, and prayer.
